Sahaj Yoga meditation Workshop 13 TH October 2023 Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. One of the techniques for meditation is Sahaj Yoga meditation. Sahaja yoga was created by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970 to bring self-realization to the masses through meditation. It enables people to experience the reality of their own energy.
Sahaj Yoga Meditation workshop was conducted in DMMC-
Date – 13/10/2023; Time- 4pm – 6pm
Venue- Lecture Hall 1

Session was conducted by- Dr. Shailesh Kumar,
Gold Medallist in Behavioural Psychology,
Dr. Sc from Govt.of Maharashtra, Practising Sahaj Yoga Meditation since 22 years
Orientation and method to do Sahaj Yoga meditation was taught to the medical students.
HALLUCIA- 2023
At AIIMS, Nagpur.
18th to 22nd October 2023 The AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), Nagpur is premier medical institute of India that organized event.  HALLUCIA – 2023 at Nagpur.  The Sports Events where held from 18th to 22nd October 2023. 
Sports like Athletics, Badminton,Cricket, Football, Futsal, Table –Tennis, Volleyball, Snooker etc. were organized. Total of 89 students from DMMC Nagpur participated in the sports event. Students of DMMC made us proud by winning prizes at Table-Tennis (Singles & Doubles), & Athletics (W).
Following winners were from DMMC for the event-
  • Isha Ambaikar  from MBBS 2nd year (2021 Batch) won 1st prize in Table-Tennis (Singles)1 Gold Medal, Certificate, & received the cash prize of Rs.1100/-.
  • Isha Ambaikar & Prateek Choudhari  from MBBS 2ndyear (2021 Batch) won 1stprize in Table-Tennis (Doubles).1Gold Medal, certificate, received the cash prize of Rs. 2000/- (Rs.1000/- each).
  • AditiHatwar from  MBBS 1st year(2023 Batch) won 1st prize in Shotput.1Gold Medal , certificate, & received the cash prize of Rs. 700/-
  • RajeshwariKadam from MBBS 2nd year(2021 Batch) won 2nd prize in Shotput.1 Silver Medal  & certificate.
  • AditiAlsi fromMBBS 2nd year(2021 Batch) won 2nd prize in 200 mts. Run.1 Silver Medal  &  certificate.
Activities Dedicated to Celebrate Hon’ble Chancellor Sir Birthday 8th & 9th November   2023 On 8th & 9th November 2023, yoga session for Allied students, teaching and Non-teaching faculties was organized to commemorate the occasion of Hon’ble Chancellor DattajiMeghe's significance and his commitment to holistic education. The primary aim was to introduce students to the practice of yoga, promoting physical well-being, mental clarity, and a deeper understanding of mindfulness.
Himalayan Meditation workshop 9th December   2023 Himalayan Meditation workshop was conducted in DMMC.
Time- 9 am to 10 am , Venue- Lecture Hall 1
Beneficiaries- First year MBBS students (2023- batch) (145 students)

Yoga Basic Course
(AYUSH certified course)
20th January  – 25th February 2024
(35 days)
  • Under the  MOU signed   by Department of Physiology DMMC,with Yogavidya Gurukul, Nashik,
  • Yogavidyadham, Nagpur centre started  AYUSH Certified Basic Yoga course (Yoga Pravesh).
  • Course Co-ordinator- Dr.Parikshit Muley .
  • This course was started on 20th January & is being  conducted in Online  mode (Zoom platform)  for  35 days.
  • The Basic Yoga Course (Yoga Pravesh) is certified by AYUSH department, New Delhi and Government of Maharashtra
  • Participants-  23 Medical students and faculty (total 19 students & 4 faculty)
  •  It consist of practice of
    1) 40 asanas (yoga poses).
    2) Sun salutation (Surya Namaskar)
    3) 4 lecture series on diet and practice of Yoga.
    4) Breathing Exercises
