COMMUNITY SERVICES LIFEGIFT- Organ Donation Program DMMC-SMHRC-DBASI 12th October 2023 Sensitization Program -A Sensitization Program about Organ donation was organised for MBBS students of Batch 2021 & 2023 on 12th Oct 2023 at Lecture Hall 4, DMMC Nagpur. MBBS Students (Batch 2021), who are members of team LIFEGIFT briefed the audience regarding the various aspects of Organ Donation. At the end of the session, several students signed the online organ donation pledge form. The event was well attended & appreciated by the students.
COMMUNITY SERVICES LIFEGIFT- Organ Donation Program DMMC-SMHRC-DBASI 13th October 2023 Sensitization Program -A Sensitization Program about Organ donation was organised for Teaching Faculty & Non-Teaching Staff on 13th Oct 2023 at Lecture Hall 4, DMMC Nagpur. Dr Sanjay Kolte, President ZTCC, Nagpur briefed the audience regarding the various aspects of Organ Donation. The event was very well attended by a large number of faculty and non-teaching staff.
COMMUNITY SERVICES LIFEGIFT- Organ Donation Program DMMC-SMHRC-DBASI 18th October 2023 Sensitisation & Awareness Program through Nukkad Natak  at  Health Camp at Shitala Mata Mandir, Wanadongri, Nagpur was organized. The first community event of LIFEGIFT program was conducted in a Health camp at Shitala Mata Mandir, Wanadongri, Nagpur by MBBS students of DMMC. They also performed a NukkadNatakto highlight the issue of Organ Donation. A brief talk was also given to sensitise the public gathered for the camp regarding organ donation. The event was well attended by the camp beneficiaries.
Dr SaritaUgemuge, Dr ParikshitMuley, Dr AshwiniMankar, DrNaresh Gill, Team LIFEGIFT and Drama club SWC were present & coordinated for this event.

A community event of LIFEGIFT program was conducted by students of DMMC & SAHS at a health camp in a school in Balaji Nagar, Nagpur.  They also performed a NukkadNatakto highlight the issue of Organ Donation. A brief talk was also given to sensitise the public gathered for the camp regarding organ donation. The event was well attended by the camp beneficiaries. Two teachers from the school signed up the organ donation pledge form.
Dr Sarita Ugemuge, Dr Parikshit Muley, Dr Ashwini Mankar, Dr Amita Kamdi, Dr Prajakta, Dr Naresh Gill, Team LIFEGIFT, SAHS students and Drama club SWC were present & coordinated for this event.
COMMUNITY SERVICES Activities Dedicated to Celebrate Hon’ble Chancellor Sir Birthday 8th November   2023 The visit to Sanjeevan Vrudhhashram Old-Age Home was organized with the aim of fostering a sense of community and compassion among the students and faculty members of our institution. The visit provided students and faculty members with a deeper understanding of the challenges and joys faced by the elderly. It sensitized the participants to the importance of social inclusion and respect for the elderly in our society.
The interaction facilitated a sense of community service and social responsibility among the students. The moments of interaction and bhajan singing created an atmosphere of happiness and contentment among the residents and participants alike. It emphasized the therapeutic effects of communal activities and shared experiences.
  Activities Dedicated to Celebrate Hon’ble Chancellor Sir Birthday 10th  November   2023 On 10th November 2023, the visit by Sai Ashram Children to SVL. DMMC was orchestrated to foster a spirit of mutual learning, cultural exchange, and community service.Following the pooja, the children were engaged in sessions highlighting the importance of oral hygiene and the significance of a balanced diet. Faculties and students shared informative sessions tailored to the children's understanding, focusing on health and well-being. Subsequently, the faculties and students reciprocated the visit by going to Sai Ashram. Activities included cooking food together, participating in the cleanliness drive of the ashram premises, and planting trees. This hands-on engagement aimed to instil values of service, environmental consciousness, and community involvement among the participants. A shared meal was organized, allowing the students and Ashram kids to dine together. Additionally, a birthday celebration for Hon’ble Chancellor DattajiMeghe was observed, marked by cutting a cake in his honour, symbolizing unity, and shared celebrations. The joint activities at the Ashram encouraged a sense of responsibility toward community service, environmental conservation, and meaningful engagement with the Sai Ashram children.
  Activities Dedicated to Celebrate Hon’ble Chancellor Sir Birthday     11th  November   2023         On 11th November 2023, Walkathon was conducted to commemorate the Founder’s Day and National education day followed by the university flag hosting ceremony in presence of Respected Marar Sir, HOIs and teaching & Non-teaching staff members from various institutions within the Wana Campus. The resounding success of the Walkathon beautifully showcased the enduring values that our revered Founder instilled in all of us. The principles of respect, empathy, ethics, humanity, and humility were manifested through the unity and harmony exhibited by each and every participant. It was a powerful demonstration of how we can achieve incredible things when we stand united. The Walkathon served as a reminder of the strength and power that lies within collective efforts.

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi successfully launched ‘Viksit Bharat @2047 : Voice of Youth’ on 11th December, 2023 at 10:30 AM via video conferencing. .
  • Prime Minister’s vision is to actively involve the youth of the country in formulation of national plans, priorities and goals of the country.
  • In line with this vision, ‘Viksit Bharat @2047 : Voice of Youth’ initiative will provide a platform to the youth of the country to contribute ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
  • The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance, among others
  Live telecast of  online lecture series “ CHETNA” on topic- “Exploring Multilingual Education Strategies" 14th December    2023
  • The University Grants Commission has been conducting an online lecture series,CHETNA,in which eminent persons with demonstrated experience from different fields are invited by UGC to share their learning with institutional students and faculty members.
  • On 14th December 23, during these lecture series CHETNA, on Zoom platform, the UGC chairman Prof. M Jagadesh Kumar interacted with Prof.Marita  Kristiasen,the Head of Termoptalen at the University of Bergen, Norway on the topic "Exploring Multilingual Education Strategies“

  Visit to Sai Ashram 4th January 2024
  • Students of DMMC celebrated their birthday in a unique manner with the children of Sai Ashram.
  • 8 students planned the evening filled with food, cake, fun, games, dance, music and sheer joy with the lesser blessed little souls. (4th January 2024)
  • .Faculty Members Dr. Purvi Mishra, Dr. Adeeba, Mrs. Pooja Verma, Mrs. Vidya P, Mr. Dattu, Mr. Bihari & Mr. Arjun accompanied the students in their noble act.
  • Mrs. Pooja Verma gave the traning of meditation & reverse counting to the children of Sai ashram.
  BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT SANJEEVAN VRIDHASHRAM 11th January 2024
  • Students of DMMC celebrated their birthday in a unique way   with senior citizens at Sanjeevan Vridhashram.
  • Around 15 students of 2023 and 2022 batches and 2 students from 2020 batch visited the Vridhashram.
  • They interacted with them &  distributed fruits & cake they donated 5 kg rice & 2 kg dal for khichdi.
  • They sung patriotic songs and motivated them to participate.

  • Students of 2023 batch of DMMC celebrated their birthday with birthday of Non- teaching faculty Shri Bihari ji on 11/01/2024 in evening by distributing tea and snacks in the ward of SMHRC- DBASI to relatives of indoor patients and by interacting with them

COMMUNITY SERVICES CAMPUS Walkathon to spread the awareness of “National Girl Child Day & Herbal Drug Awareness”   27th Janaury 2024
  • Datta Meghe Ayurved Medical College & Hospital, Nagpur Walkathon on National Girl Child Day & Herbal Drug Awareness on  27/01/2024 Saturday at 09.30 am to promote awareness about Herbal Drugs for community,as well Need and importance of Organ Donation
  • The route for the event was fromDMMC Gate - Boys Hostel Gate-Main road- SMHRC Gate- MGS Road-DMMC.
  • All the Teaching Faculties, Non-teaching staff along with students of BAMS, Physiotherapy, D.Pharm, B.Pharm, MBBS, Nursing ,and AlliedHealthSciences participated energetically in the Walkathon event. Studentshadprepared so many placards related Herbal Drug, National Girl Child day and Organ Donation. Around 500 participants participated in the walkathon with enthusiasm.
